Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness
- Provide leadership regarding accounting matters and partner with business leaders in Tokyo HQ
- Communicate accounting matters and financial business insights to internal stakeholders
- Lead audit processes and manage partnerships with external partners
- Assess risks and develop solutions regarding complex accounting issues
- Lead accounting assessments for Joint ventures, acquisitions and company investments
- Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial documentation in accordance with US GAAP
- Participate in BPR, system implementation, and finance process improvement initiatives
- Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership and HQ
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA license required
- 7+ years of management experience
- SAP or similar ERP/consolidation system experience
