Japanese Bilingual Accounting Manager - Houston, TX

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Review financial information and accounting transactions for accuracy
• Support financial reporting and consolidation for subsidiaries
• Perform variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial modeling
• Support income tax provision calculations, tax reconciliations, and tax-related projects
• Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial documentation in accordance with US GAAP
• Coordinate with subsidiaries, external accounting/tax firms, and internal finance teams
• Support external audits and technical accounting research
• Participate in BPR, system implementation, and finance process improvement initiatives
• Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership and HQ
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects

Qualifications

• Strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and accounting/ERP system experience
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Preferred: CPA/CMA, SAP or similar ERP/consolidation system experience, budgeting/forecasting experience
• Language: Business-level English; Japanese proficiency strongly preferred
