Japanese Bilingual Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translation between a customer (English) and our expert engineer (Japanese) on-site.
• Japanese language training for local engineers
• Install, maintain, and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer locations.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to customer requests for technical assistance, both on-site and remotely.
• -Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment at customer facilities.
• Maintain detailed records of all service work performed, including troubleshooting steps, parts replaced, and final resolutions.
• Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for on-site service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or similar) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in field service engineering, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Hands-on experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting technical equipment issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to travel to customer locations as needed (up to 50% of the time).
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and service management software.
