Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full-cycle AP processes, including invoice processing, setting up payment batches, vendor management, and reconciliation, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of transactions.
• Responsible for AR processes, including customer invoicing, applying payments, and preparing/reviewing aging reports to resolve discrepancies.
• • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Lead month-end closing and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Assist the Senior Accounting Manager in filing required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Support external audit requests by preparing reconciliations and journal entry support; ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls.
• Assist the Senior Accounting Manager in preparation of financial tasks or events such as financial information for management meetings, periodic internal audits, annual audit, revising and creating policies and procedures as necessary.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience
