EHS Specialist - Austin TX

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
• Integrate client-specific requirements and best practices into procedures
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance
• Perform site inspections and hazard evaluations
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to reduce safety and environmental risks
• Deliver safety training on workplace hazards, PPE, and emergency procedures
• Track completion and measure effectiveness through performance metrics
• Incident Management
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes
• Implement preventive actions and maintain detailed reports
• Monitor safety performance using KPIs and support safety committees
• Coordinate with auditors and integrate EHS into operations
• Collaboration & Improvement
• Advise leadership on EHS matters and work with regulatory agencies
• Maintain accurate records and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in health and safety
• CSP), CIH OR NEBOSH certification preferred
• ISO 45001 familiarity preferred
