Logistics Operations Staff - Wood Dale, IL

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international logistics operations across ground, air, and ocean freight.
• Prepare, submit, and distribute required shipping, customs, and compliance documentation. (BIL, FMC, ISF, AES filling)
• Coordinate with ground, air and ocean carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and other vendors to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Maintain accurate shipment, pricing, and inventory data within company systems.
• Communicate shipment details, schedules, and exceptions with customers and internal teams.
• Oversee warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, storage, inventory tracking, and documentation.
• Support packaging, labeling, and handling procedures, including recording damaged goods.
• Troubleshoot operational and customer service issues, escalate when appropriate, and provide timely updates to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Basic Excel ability
• Computer and typing proficiency
• Ability to multi task
• Ability to work some overtime during busy periods
• Strong attention to detail
