Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the HR & GA department at the plant office.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- 7 years of on-site human resource management experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- USDA-regulated food industry experience desired.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and ADP.
