Responsibilities

  • Act as the main HR connection between US and Japan teams.
  • Translate and prepare HR communications, policies, and training materials in both languages with cultural accuracy.
  • Support full-cycle HR functions including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
  • Lead and execute HR projects, analyze survey/HRIS data, and create executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Handle sensitive employee data with strict confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate personnel rotations, transfers, and expatriate support.
  • Assist with engagement programs such as surveys, recognition initiatives, wellness activities, and events.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a liaison between US and Japan business operations
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, HRIS systems (Workday/SuccessFactors or similar), and presentation tools.
