Accounting Assistant Manager - Carson, CA

Responsibilities

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review and ensure accuracy for financial transactions, AP & AR functions
• Adhere to US GAAP
• Support accounting manager with projects and workflow
• Manage cash flow, bank transactions, cash disbursement
• Perform Audit correspondence
• Delegate assignments under the accounting function
• Provide guidance and to the accounting team and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Contribute to finance and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business related field
• Experience at a Japanese freight company is a plus
• 3-5 years of Accounting experience
• Advanced Excel level - competent with excel formulas and pivot tables
• Must be willing to work overtime during busy season during annual closing from Jan-April
• Japanese companies experience is plus
