Responsibilities

  • Identifies, qualifies and closes new sales opportunities for existing and “under development” products for automotive applications and photonics in the market.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential customer segments.
  • Thoroughly assesses potential customers’ needs and align them with suitable product offerings.
  • Proactively engages with potential customers and cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers to influence purchasing decisions.
  • Effectively negotiate and finalize sales agreements to secure new business opportunities.
  • Serves as the main customer contact in the automotive industry in Detroit area and in the photonics industry in North America.
  • Achieves maximum global sales by creating end-user demand through direct and strategic global sales activities at OEMs and Tier 1&2 suppliers.
  • Prepares Sales & Marketing monthly reports and customer visit reports, communicates and enters into Salesforce monthly customer forecasts.
  • Effectively communicate customer feedback to R&D and Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • 3 years minimum automotive and/or photonics account management experience, both on the OEM and Tier 1 level.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and product development cycle.
  • Japanese skill strongly preferred.
