Stamping Engineer - Stanford, KY

Responsibilities

• Works with the Engineering Manager to direct tooling and modify equipment and/or machines of varying types for use in the manufacture of company products.
• Re-designs, repairs, or replaces in-process production program equipment.
• supervises their assembly and set-up.
• Sets up new equipment for die trials, ensures its satisfactory operation, and instructs others to use the new equipment properly.
• Conducts experiments and tests on existing designs and equipment to obtain data on function of and performance of equipment.
• Reviews plans for new products and factors such as strength, weight, and cost to submit material selection
• Conducts a continuous search of new materials, processes, and procedures to enhance and improve the product line.
• Determines and reviews all manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness and feasibility.
• Conducts plant layouts, coordinates outside contractors, and supervises all necessary construction of plant expansions or alterations.
• Monitors projects and ensures that timetables are met.
• Analyzes equipment used and plant layout to determine if facilities are being used to best advantages.

Qualifications

• Native level proficiency in Japanese is must
• Must have Engineering degree
• CAD/Drafting skill is big plus
• VISA support for a right candidate, also Car and Housing support as well
