IT Senior Operations Specialist - Yonkers, NY

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and end-user systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Lead or participate in IT infrastructure and system implementation projects.
• Manage system updates, security, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to support business operations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and IT standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT performance, security, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, VPN, Wi-Fi)
• Monitor and enhance network security and performance
• Work with protocols like SD-WAN, OSPF, and BGP
• Provide Tier 1–2 support and help desk backup
• Manage IT inventory, updates, and vendor coordination
• Respond to support tickets (Jira preferred)
• Assist with disaster recovery, audits, and policy documentation
• Evaluate projects and vendors; support proposals and planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of corporate IT experience.
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure, networking, desktop support, cloud technologies, and IT operations.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies, virtualization, and networking preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Japanese language skills are a plus but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
