Japanese Translator at Manufacturing company

Japanese manufacturing company is looking for a Translator.

Qualification:

• Bi-lingual in Japanese
• At least two (2) year’s related experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
  

Essential Function:

Essential duties and functions include but are not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned.

• Provides consecutive or simultaneous translation between languages.
• Listens to complete statements in one language, translates to second, and translates responses from second into first language in consecutive interpreting.
• Expresses either approximate or exact translation, depending on nature of occasion. Simultaneous translation in the various meetings; e.g. Engineering, Quality, Management, Senior management, and Customer.
• Preparation of Materials for Monthly Telephone Conference.
• Work on special projects as required.
• Facilitating communication with Japan
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills, including Japanese
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
• Strong organizational and communicational skills
• Detail oriented
• Manufacturing Industry background preferred
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
