Job Description

We are currently seeking a Bag Making Machine Operator for Japanese Packaging Company to join their team in the Louisville KY area! The ideal candidate will have a few years of work experience in the packaging industry.

Position: Bag Making Machine Operator

Pay: $55k - $60k (Depending on your experience)

Duties

• Knowledge of the job orders to determine any special specifications, and quantities to be produced, related to flat bottom, pinch, and pouch bag making machine operations.
• Can perform machine set up as follows: Prepare web roll and other materials necessary to set up the machine and operate in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Check punch dies for function and accuracy, changing out the die if needed.
• Check cutting / slitting blades change out if needed.
• Startup machines observe operation and adjust machine parts as needed to ensure proper speed, pressure, temperature.
• Quality check - gather first piece samples and use tools to check bags for seal strength, size, defects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Technical Degree or certification preferred.
• Manufacturing 5+ years related to bag making machine operations.
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload; must respond accordingly.
• Must be flexible with work hours-shifts.
