A Japanese general contractor is looking for an industrial site superintendent in Durham, NC. The company is looking for someone with Construction and Engineering experience and knowledge. The experience in the automobile industry is a big plus.

Assist Project Manager (PM) by managing designated field activities.
Supervise field construction work by subcontractors and employees.
Assist project team to ensure project timeline, budget, and accordance of MPCI policies and procedures
Assist PM with keeping track of costs, schedules, and requirements for completion

Associates Degree and/or experience in fields related to Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
Ability to make unsupervised decisions, plan, and manage multiple activities at the same time and to accomplish desired results under tight deadlines
Proficient in using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
Industrial experience preferred.
Working knowledge and ability to apply OSHA safety standards.
Working knowledge of construction contract language and terms.
Working Environment
Majority of work, approximately 85%, is completed by walking job sites or existing structures in a supervisory capacity. When employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate protective equipment.
Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and possible holidays as directed by PM and schedule to meet customers’ deadlines.
Ability to temporarily relocate to different project locations is preferred.
