US Unemployment rate drops to 3.9 %

The U.S. unemployment rate fell to 3.9%, more than expected, which is the lowest since late 2000. The drop was driven in part by a reduction in workforce participation. They also created 164,000 new non-farm jobs, which was fewer-than-expected. Wage growth rose a slower-than-expected 2.6% from a year earlier.
